Something to think about.
Friends and Neighbors
As he was getting into the boat, the man who had been possessed with
demons begged him that he might be with him. 19 And he did not permit
him but said to him, “Go home to your friends and tell them how much the
Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.”. Mark 5:
18-19
When God does something for you, it is not to be a secret.
God doesn't want you to cling to him to the exclusion of all others;
rather He wants you to proclaim Him to all others.

These Things
Something to think about.
These Things
“Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead, 47 and that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem. 48 You are witnesses of these things.” Luke 24:46-47
We
who believe in Christ are charged with the mission of proclaiming to
all nations the resurrection of Christ and the benefits thereof. We are,
“witness of these things.”

Redeemed
Something to think about.
Redeemed
Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good,
for his steadfast love endures forever!
2 Let the redeemed of the Lord say so,
whom he has redeemed from trouble Psalms 107:1-2
God
Is good, for he has redeemed me from my trouble. He is my redeemer, my
saviour my Lord. Are you redeemed and if so have you said so.

Legacy
Legacy:
- A gift by will especially of money or other personal property.
- Something transmitted by or received from an ancestor or predecessor or from the past.
My legacy, the thing that I possess of value is not just mine it belongs to all who are called His children and to all who are yet to be adopted. My legacy of immense value is my testimony of Christ. When I begin to think about the things the Lord has done in my life I realize that He has always been with me. He has healed me and restored me. He has protected me and defended me. When I was destitute, He provided for me. He has been with me when I’ve won and lost. He has given me purpose and value. He has loved me and celebrated my accomplishments. He is proud of me. He corrects me and leads me. Even when I didn’t acknowledge Him, He never abandoned me. He never tires of me; He comforts me. I know that He loves me by what He did and does for me. He sent His Holy Spirit to be with me. He has saved my life and given me eternal life. He has forgiven my sin. He has adopted me as His son and made me an inheritor of His incredible riches. He has sacrificed His son for me. He has paid more for me than I will ever be worth. His blessings past and future are never ending.
My legacy can be given to anyone, and it will never diminish in worth. A financial legacy or inheritance would be great, but it does not compare to the value of knowing Christ.
Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ. Philippians 3:8

Eternal Life
Something to think about.
Eternal Life
11 And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 1 John 5:11 (ESV)
“Gave”
past tense, this has already been done. Eternal life has been given
through Christ Jesus. All we have to do is accept, receive what has
already been done.

Are You Ready
Something to think about.
Are You Ready
15 but
in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to
make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is
in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect, 1 Peter 3:15 (ESV)
Your
preparation is your testimony. Because He saved, me, healed me, loved
me, that is the reason for your hope, whatever it is that turned your
heart toward Him. Forget theology, forget scripture, forget intellect,
only tell them what Jesus did for you.

Praise
Something to think about.
Praise
11 Then I looked, and I heard around the throne and the living creatures and the elders the voice of many angels, numbering myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands, 12 saying with a loud voice,
“Worthy is the Lamb who was slain,
to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might
and honor and glory and blessing!”Revelations 5:11-12
The Lamb of God, will one day be recognized and honored for all he has done for us. Imagine the sound of innumerable beings crying out in a loud voice. On that day, all of creation will be filled with these voices. They will be heard everywhere.

Witness
Something to think about.
Witness
10 “You are my witnesses,” declares the Lord,
“and my servant whom I have chosen,
that you may know and believe me
and understand that I am he.
Before me no god was formed,
nor shall there be any after me.
Isaiah 43:10 (ESV)
We were chosen to believe in Him and know that He is God. We are to be His witnesses.

The Widow Maker
The nurse informed me that the heart attack I had was referred to as
the widow maker. I had three blocked arteries. The arteries of my heart
are not normal. Which made a stent or angioplasty impossible. As a
result of my heart attack, I had insufficient blood flow to my
intestines, which culminated in a section of my intestines dying. After
my heart bypass surgery, though unrelated to the surgery, my bowels
started to bleed internally which required emergency surgery to remove
two feet of intestines. During the surgery, my blood pressure all but
disappeared. My Kidneys shut down. I was put on dialysis. I lost 48
pounds in six weeks. When I left the hospital I left with a colostomy
bag. Before this I had never heard of nor knew what that was. A few days
after being home I had another heart attack. My doctor told me the
artery they could not repair had completely clogged and that section of
my heart was dying.
“And we know that for those who
love God all things work together for good, for those who are called
according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28 (ESV)
Blessings...
First was my wife. Without her
I would have most likely died. During the internal bleeding, she stood
up and fought for me forcing the gastroenterologist to act when he
wanted to wait. If she had allowed him to wait I probably would have
bled out.
As they were rolling me down a hall for a
test I asked myself am I ready to meet God. I realized I was. I had
accepted the sacrifice of Christ on my behalf. The peace that passes all
understanding came over me and I was ready for whatever the Lord had for me.
One
dark night in my hospital room I was tired and exhausted physically,
emotionally and spiritually. God told me I’ve heard their prayers for
you and I will be with you. He lifted me from my exhaustion and gave me
strength to go on.
With this limited space I cannot fully explain, God assembled the staff that was to care for me.
One
of the most memorable moments of my recovery happened when I was in
ICU. A young nurse was walking down the hallway and looked in. She
stopped with tears in her eyes and asked me if she could hug me. She
explained, “I am one of the nurses that cared for you, we didn't think
you were going to make it, I’m so happy you're alive.” When I returned
to the cardiac care unit, after being in the ICU, the nurses referred to
me as the miracle man; they also did not expect me to survive. I am
still here because He has a purpose for me being here. God, as usual, is
glorious.

Change Your Mind
Something to think about.
Change Your Mind
19 Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord, Acts 3:19
Repent,
means to change one's mind. Which in turn changes one’s actions. If you
do not repent you cannot have your sins forgiven nor receive times of
refreshing from the Lord.

Unsurpassed Value
Something to think about.
Unsurpassed Value
8 Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ. Philippians 3:8
The
world does not possess anything of sufficient value to replace Christ.
All the riches of the world do not achieve any value before the
knowledge of Christ. He is simply worth so much more.

A New Life
Something to Think about.
A New Life
3 For we ourselves
were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions
and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by others and
hating one another. 4 But when the goodness and loving kindness of God
our Savior appeared, 5 he saved us, not because of works done by us in
righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of
regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, 6 whom he poured out on us
richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 so that being justified by his
grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
Titus 3:3-7 (ESV)
In spite of us, God, out of His desire,
love, mercy and grace has regenerated and renewed us by the holy spirit
through Christ onto eternal life. This regeneration, renewal is
available to those of us who accept His call.

Emulate
Something to think about
Emulate
So the chief priests
made plans to kill Lazarus as well, 11 for on account of him many of the
Jews were going over to Jesus and believing in him. John 12:10-11
I
can’t be like Christ; I can't raise people from the dead, I can’t offer
a sacrifice that will make atonement for their sin, I can’t save them, I
can't give them eternal life, I can't forgive their sins.
I can be like Lazarus; I can be a living testimony of what He has done in my Life.

Living and Active
Something to think about.
Living and Active
12 For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Hebrews 4:12 (ESV)
The word of God is not antiquated, old, out of touch or irrelevant. It discloses the intent of the heart. It identifies and convicts man of his sin, and it will live forever.

The Gift of God
Something to think about.
The Gift of God
And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 1 John 5:11 (ESV)
For those of us who believe this is our reality, eternal life that can only be found in Jesus.

Jesus Prayed
Something to think about.
Jesus Prayed
9 I pray
for them. I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given
me, for they are yours. 20 “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also
for those who will believe in me through their message, 21 that all of
them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. John 17; 9,20-21
Jesus
is not making an all inclusive prayer; He is praying specifically for
us who believe in Him. Over two thousand years ago He prayed for you and
me to be one in Him that we may be His living testimony to the world.

Properly Prepared

Properly Prepared
45 David
said to the Philistine, “You come against me with sword and spear and
javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the
God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. 1 Samuel 17:45
When you face a battle are you unarmed? Are you facing your adversary whether it be foe or situation with the “Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel,” Goliath with his weapons of war was unarmed before the Lord? He never had a chance.

Metaphorical?
Something to think about.
Metaphorical?
4 And falling
to the ground he heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you
persecuting me?” 5 And he said, “Who are you, Lord?” And he said, “I am
Jesus, whom you are persecuting. Acts 9:4-5
At this moment as
Jesus is speaking to Saul He has been crucified and resurrected. He is
not anywhere where Saul can actually persecute Him. Jesus chooses to use
these words, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?" And again, “I am
Jesus, whom you are persecuting." He uses the words, Me and I. Jesus
does not say, my disciples, my people, my church. Is Jesus saying when
you are persecuting my people you are persecuting me because my people
and I are one? Imagine that if we are one with Christ those who
persecute us persecute Him who created the universe and all that is in
it.

New Every Morning
Something to think about.
New Every Morning
22 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
his mercies never come to an end;
23 they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23 (ESV)
I
am grateful that the mercy of God towards me did not cease yesterday.
Every day His love grants me all the mercy I need for this day. Thank
you God for your mercy.

Announcement "Testimonies of Faith"
Announcement
"Testimonies of Faith"
To our family of faith at Faith Assembly of God in Orlando Florida. The writers of faith which is a small group of Faith Assembly of God has begun to compile stories, testimonies of what God has done in our lives. We will take this compilation and produce a book entitled “Testimonies of Faith.” We are asking those of you who attended faith to share your testimony. We are also asking you to share this post with all of your friends at faith.
Why are we doing this?
When John the Baptist had his doubts about Jesus he sent some of his disciples to Jesus asking Him are you the one.
When the men had come to Him, they said, “John the Baptist has sent us to You, saying, ‘Are You the Coming One, or do we look for another?’ ” 21 And that very hour He cured many of infirmities, afflictions, and evil spirits; and to many blind He gave sight.
22 Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things you have seen and heard: that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, the poor have the gospel preached to them. 23 And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me.” Luke 7:20-23
His response in short was go testify to John about what I have done. He asks us the same thing, go testify of what I have done. So we ask you to be a part of the tapestry that shows the wonder and majesty of God.

People Pleaser?
Something to think about.
People Pleaser?
“Am I now
trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to
please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a
servant of Christ.” Galatians 1:10 NIV
To stand for Christ
almost always means you will be at odds with society. Face it, if you
are a Christian you are an oddity the world cannot know you because they
do not know Him who lives in you.

The Rock
Something to think about.
The Rock
Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock. Isaiah 26:4 (ESV)
He is the single constant in existence. He will always be, God.
