whose mind is stayed on you,
because he trusts in you.

It’s a new day

22 It is because of the Lord’s mercy and loving-kindness that we are not consumed, because His [tender] compassions fail not.
23 They are new every morning; great and abundant is Your stability and faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23 Amplified Bible (AMP)

The wonder of God is displayed by His compassion, loving kindness and mercy.

Words From the Past

Something to Think About.

Words from the past.

And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Joshua 24:15 (AMP)

It amazes me when words written thousand of years ago are as apropos today as they were then.

Who will you serve? The Gods of today or the God of creation? As for me and my house I will serve the Lord.

Something to think about.

Out of love or out of submission.

10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.  Philippians 2:10-11 (NKJV)

For me I will bow out of love and joy reverence to honor and glorify Him , how about you?

Be Filled

13 May the God of your hope so fill you with all joy and peace in believing [through the experience of your faith] that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound and be overflowing (bubbling over) with hope. Romans 15:13 (AMP)

Through believing in Christ you can be filled with joy, peace and hope.

Open your eyes, open your ears, open your heart

Something to think about.

Open your eyes, open your ears, open your heart.

Have you never heard? Have you never understood? The lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding. Isaiah 40:28 (NLT)

God is bigger, stronger, smarter, than we can fathom.

Gifts

11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him! Matthew 7:11 (NKJV)

All we need to do is ask!

Something to think about.

The greatest victory.

“O death, where is your victory?

O death, where is your sting?”

The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:55-57 (ESV)

Those that belong to Christ share in the victory.

Gods Love Your Legacy

Something to think about.

Gods love your legacy.

But the love of the lord remains forever
with those who fear him.
His salvation extends to the children’s children
18 of those who are faithful to his covenant,
of those who obey his commandments! Psalms 103: 17-18 (NLT)

His salvation extends to your kids and mine, is there anything better?

It is a matter of the heart

Something to think about.

It is a matter of the heart.

The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.”
   They are corrupt, doing abominable iniquity;
there is none who does good. Psalm 53:1 (ESV)

7 For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.
“Eat and drink!” he says to you,
But his heart is not with you.
Proverbs 23:7 (NKJV)

45 The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil, for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.
Luke 6:45 (ESV)

What is your heart saying?

We Speak a Different Language

Something to think about.

We speak a different language.

For the preaching of the cross is foolishness to those who perish; but unto us who are saved, it is the power of God. 1 Corinthians 1:18 (KJ21)

You must be alive in God (born again) to understand God.

The Wisdom of Man

Something to think about.

The wisdom of man.

"For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools..." Romans 1:20-22

Man continues to deny the obvious and under the guise of wisdom proclaim the foolish.

Not by chance not by mistake

sonagram-001

Something to think about.

Not by chance not by mistake.

You saw me before I was born.
Every day of my life was recorded in your book.
Every moment was laid out
before a single day had passed. Psalm 139:16 (NLT)

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well. Psalm 139:14 (NIV)

Before time began God knew you, loved you and created you.

Something to think about.

The day will soon come or has come.

“But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, ... But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”Joshua 24:15 (NIV)

Chosen

Something to think about.

Chosen

“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 10 Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.”  1 Peter 1:9-10

We who call Christ Lord are chosen. Chosen to be a nation a royal priesthood a specail possession, we have received mercy. Our eyes have been opened and we can see his wonderful light.

Lets Get Serious

persecution
Something to think about.

Let's get serious.

42 “Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.” Luke 22:42 (NIV)

Can you, will you, with Jesus say “yet not my will, but yours be done?” If asked will you make the same sacrifice? This is not hypothetical, there are Christians in the middle east and in other parts of the world that are being killed for being Christians. They are making this same request “take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.” When this type of persecution comes to your door will you be able to stand?

Our Constant Rock

Our constant rock.

"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. 2
Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains
fall into the heart of the sea, 3 though its waters roar and foam and
the mountains quake with their surging." Psalm 46:1-3
