Make Known

Something to think about.

Make Known

25 “Righteous Father, though the world does not know you, I know you, and they know that you have sent me. 26 I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them.” John 17:25-26

The purpose of Jesus was to make known the unseen God. It was all done so we would know the love of God. Jesus said He would continue to make it known to us. He does that and will continue to do that by living in us. We are to be the open door of love which makes the unseen God known. It is now we who are to make Him “God” known to man. It is now my responsibility,  and your responsibility to be Jesus to the world.

The Proof

 Something to think about.

The Proof

30 And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; 31 but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name. John 20:30-31

The word of God is not an embellished myth or a contrived conspiracy. It is the authenticated proof by eye witness testimonies of power and divinity of Jesus. Denying the veracity of the witnesses does not diminish the truth. "Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God" and through Him, we can have eternal life.

In Jesus Name

Something to think about.

In Jesus Name

15 And the evil spirit answered and said, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?”
16 Then the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, overpowered them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.

The power of Jesus is reserved for those who know Jesus. If you try to appropriate the power of Christ without the knowledge of Christ, it will cause to you be worse off than when you began. Do you know Him?

Deliverance

Something to think about.

Deliverance

Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen. Galatians 1:3-5

Christ died for us, and it is he that will deliver us from this present evil age. By the will of the everlasting Father. We need to be ever aware, that it is Jesus working in us that enables us to overcome any situation. He is the impetus, power and the way of deliverance and there is no other.

Know Your God

Something to think about.

Know Your God

17 Though the fig tree should not blossom,
   nor fruit be on the vines,
the produce of the olive fail
   and the fields yield no food,
the flock be cut off from the fold
   and there be no herd in the stalls,
18 yet I will rejoice in the Lord;
   I will take joy in the God of my salvation.
19 God, the Lord, is my strength;
   he makes my feet like the deer's;
   he makes me tread on my high places.
Habakkuk 3:17-19 (ESV)

If you find yourself in need with no prospects, the only way you can “take joy in the God of my salvation”  is if you know your God. If you don't know your God, you will be crushed by the persistent challenges of life.

A Living Hope

Something to think about.

A Living Hope

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 1Peter 1:3

Our hope of salvation rests on what has been done, the resurrection of Jesus. We don't have to rely on a promise of the future, but we are assured by the fulfillment of the past. Our God who resurrected Christ will also do the same for you, if you ask Him to.

I Am He

Something to think about.

I Am He

 I told you that you would die in your sins, for unless you believe that I am he you will die in your sins.” John 8:24 (ESV)

Jesus is speaking to Jews, and He said, “unless you believe that I am he.” Who is the “He,” Jesus is referring to?   He is referring to the Messiah the Savior of Israel and the world.  Jesus is saying I am the one you've been waiting for; I am the one who will rule the world, I am the one that will save Israel. But if you don not believe in me you will die in your sin and be permanently separated from Me.

You will die in your sin if you do not accept who He is.

The Treasure of Your Heart

Something to think about.

The treasure of your heart.

A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks. Luke 6:45 (NKJV)

Even over short periods, your heart will be exposed either for good or evil. No one can deny their heart. If the love of God is in you, it will be evident, if not it, will also be evident.

It Is All About Praise

Something to think about.

It Is All About Praise

Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
Psalm 103:1  (KJV)

He is more interested in our praise than in our works. We gain nothing by works, but we gain everything from praise because praise comes from a joyful heart.  You won't continually praise Him if you don't love Him.

Praise The Lord

Something to think about.

Praise The Lord

Praise the Lord!
Praise God in his sanctuary;
   praise him in his mighty heavens!
2 Praise him for his mighty deeds;
   praise him according to his excellent greatness!
3 Praise him with trumpet sound;
   praise him with lute and harp!
4 Praise him with tambourine and dance;
   praise him with strings and pipe!
5 Praise him with sounding cymbals;
   praise him with loud clashing cymbals!
6 Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!
Praise the Lord!

We need to praise Him more. Thank Him for all He has done past, present and future.

Disqualified

Something to think about.

Disqualified

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 (KJV)

If you don’t love God, your are not called according to His purposes. All things will not work together for the good. You are disqualified. To put it simply, without God you lose.

Useful Gifts

Something to think about.

Useful Gifts

As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. 1Peter 4:10-11

The question has never been, do you have a gift? Peter states it as something that has occurred. He is saying, use your gift to the glory of God. Do not sit around waiting for a bolt of lightning to hit you and ignite your life. It is up to you to ignite the fire that will bring the gifts in your life to full fruition.

The Greatest Commandment

Something to think about.

The Greatest Commandment

36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. Matthew 22:39-37 (NIV)

Why is it the greatest commandment?

After all is said and done when life has been lived and you come to the end the only thing that will be of value will be this; your love for God. All of your accomplishments all of your failures will fade away into a lost memory. What will remain is love, God’s love for you and your love for Him.

Conqueror of the Impossible

Something to think about.

Conqueror of the Impossible

For nothing will be impossible with God.”Luke 1:37 (ESV)

God has given us all we need to accomplish the purpose he created us for. He gives faith, wisdom resources, intelligence, counsel, health, and vision. He has from before time predestined us to win, and after all of that, he is at the end of our rope with an extended hand saying come let me help you.  My God is the conqueror of the impossible.

Straight path

Something to think about.

Straight

5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
   and do not lean on your own understanding.
6 In all your ways acknowledge him,
   and he will make straight your paths.
Proverbs 3:5-6 (ESV)

Notice it says straight not straighten or straightened. We need to lean on him, acknowledge Him before we start down any path. We need to look forward to where He leads rather than go back and try to find where we got lost.

Great Full

Something to think about.

Great Full

“For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.”
Psalm 103:11-12 NIV

Who has loved you so much, who forgives you so completely? Don't you get it? God loves you and he will forgive you. You only need to come to him.

Shining Bright

Something to think about.

Shining Bright

No one after lighting a lamp covers it with a jar or puts it under a bed, but puts it on a stand, so that those who enter may see the light. Luke 8:16

As Christ was the light of life to us, we are to be the light of Christ to the world.

Repent

Something to think about.

Repent

I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish. 4 Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them, do you think that they were worse sinners than all other men who dwelt in Jerusalem? 5 I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish.” Luke 13 3:5

You can't be a citizen of heaven and hell. Repentance is what declares your allegiance and identifies your citizenship.

Speaking of Jesus

Something to think about.

Speaking of Jesus

For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen. Romans 11:36

Is This That Day?

Something to think about.

Is This That Day?

But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people. 2 Timothy 3:1-5

These people have always existed, but they were few and far between. Can we change, it can we turn it around? Yes! We can if we return to God and put Him before everything else. We need a revival.

Increased Faith

Something to think about.

Increased Faith

20 He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20(ESV)

6 Then he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts. Zechariah 4:6 (ESV)

Increased faith…I felt the Lord speak to me about the battles. They won’t be won by determination or grit, but by faith, through faith, and with faithfulness. I have faith, but I want more.
