Repent Revival

Something to think about.

Repent Revival

17 From that time on Jesus began to preach, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.” Mathew 4:17

I have repented. Yes, I'm still working on it. I am still in the process of receiving all that is associated with repentance. This commandment of Christ still haunts me. It rattles me to my core because it is still a valid call. There are those around me that have not repented. I am not talking about those in Hollywood or in politics or business. Nor any other category of people, I am talking about my brother, sisters, nieces, nephews in short my family. There is an entire world living all around me that have not repented that have not accepted Christ. I pray for revival in this country, state, and city. I need to start praying for revival in my family.  Is it possible that we have not seen a great revival in this country because we are praying for someone else? The next great revival needs to begin at home. The great field of harvest is not in some far away city or country. It is within our homes. With the people, we break bread with. With those that will no longer listen to our message. If they won't listen how can we reach them? We need to pray for them. We need to stand in the gap for them. What that means is we need to chase after God on their behave. We need to cry out to God for their salvation. We need to get into the battle for their souls. They may not listen to us, but God has the resources to reach them He has the means to touch their hearts.

Have we given up on our families? Have we written them off as unreachable, unworthy, hopeless unforgivable? Have we become blase about their eternal destination. Have we accepted them as a lost cause? Have we turned them over to eternal death? If we are to see revival it needs to start at home. If we have written off our families do you really think we will care about the lost of the world? This is a call to action to pray for your family to begin a revival in your home.

Christianity is Not Free.

Something to think about.

Christianity is Not Free.

15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. 1 John 4:15

There was a time not so long ago when making this statement was not offensive or at least threatening.  That period of time was an anomaly as Christians have been martyred for centuries. There are people being killed, imprisoned and tortured for believing "that Jesus is the Son of God."  Our beliefs are being challenged in every arena of life not because they are wrong. But because they are true. The truth is not a barrier or an impenetrable wall of defense. It is a light in the darkness under assault from forces which are determined to snuff it out. If you are like me and believe that "Jesus is the Son of God" expect opposition. Currently, the opposition in the USA is in the form of ridicule and disrespect. As is happening now, we are being instructed to keep our mouths shut to speak of Christ in private quarters only. Unless there is a revival orchestrated by God. The next generation of Christians in this country will be the first to experience all-out persecution on our shores.

Is This That Day?

Something to think about.

Is This That Day?

But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people. 2 Timothy 3:1-5

These people have always existed, but they were few and far between. Can we change, it can we turn it around? Yes! We can if we return to God and put Him before everything else. We need a revival.

Strategy

Something to think about.

Strategy

The man went away and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had healed him. John 5:15  (ESV)

Today, we have devised strategies to evangelize the world. We have large evangelistic organizations creating successful campaigns, sharing the good news of Christ. We have systems designed to encourage and exploit every opportunity to advance the gospel.  Yet, what still remains the most successful strategy is you telling your friends and neighbors “it is Jesus who saved me.” God has always intended that your story be the driving force of revival. All other efforts while useful and productive will never rival the individual that tells his story to his friend. It is the story of what Christ did for you that will change the world.  Share your testimony.
