Something to think about.
Praise the Lord!
1 Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord, O my soul! 2 I will praise the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being. 3 Put not your trust in princes, in a son of man, in whom there is no salvation. Psalms 146:1-3
Praise God for He is our hope there is no man or woman that we can turn to that will provided the salvation we need for this life and the one that is to come. Leaders and governments are inadequate in resolving the problems of man. We need to turn to the only sure hope for man, and that is God. Praise Him and seek Him only.

Greater is He
Something to think about.
Greater is He
“Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” 1 John 4:4 ESV
Are you empty? Is it just you, are you all alone? Is your life, a life of endless toil? Are you aware of what is available to you? Who is the writer speaking of?
He is speaking of the Spirit of God. You can have the spirit of God in you. To empower your life not to be overcome by the evil forces of this world.
The turmoil of our present political and social situation is quickly becoming overwhelming. Never in my life have I seen such hate being perpetrated. Those who protest do so in hate, those who support does so with just as much hate. The spirit and indeed it is a spirit that underpins and empowers the opposing forces is one of hate. If you are participating in the opposition on either side, I ask you to look into your heart and ask yourself what spirit is in you? If you find yourself hating, associating or aligning yourself with those who hate, you are being led by the spirit of hate. That spirit, that entity is not the mind of God, it is not the spirit that will lead to victory it will lead to destruction.
I remind all who call themselves Christian.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23
I am not saying, do not oppose. I am saying do it without the spirit of hate. Oppose in such a way as to bring constructive change. Don't force change through hate. Hate breeds hate and plants the seeds of divisiveness which will blossom into separatism which grows into hatred which begins the cycle all over again.
Only the Spirit of God that is available to you, which manifest the fruits of the Spirit of God will bring about the positive gainful change you seek.

Glorify Thy Name
Something to think about.
Glorify Thy Name
27“Now My soul is troubled, and what shall I say? ‘Father, save Me from this hour’? But for this purpose I came to this hour. 28 Father, glorify Your name.”Then a voice came from heaven, saying, “I have both glorified it and will glorify it again.”
People all over the world ask this question, why am I here, what is my Purpose? If we ask what was the purpose of Jesus's life what would be the answer? You might answer, His purpose was to save Humanity. To restore us, to heal us, to bring us victory in life. To save us from eternal damnation. I submit to you, these things, He did were not His purpose they were but the tools to glorify God. All of these things were done for us, humanity. None of what Christ did for us benefited God. The life, ministry, death, resurrection, and ascension of Christ were for one purpose, and it was not for the salvation of man it was for showing the glory, majesty, and preeminence of God. The entirety of the Bible leads to this, acknowledging, recognizing, and glorifying God. The Bible is and always has been and always will be about God. He demands to be acknowledged, praised, worship and glorified by man. We exist for His glory that is why we are here. The singular purpose of man is to glorify God.

Be Kind
Something to think about.
Be Kind
Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. 32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. Ephesians 4 31-32
Our society is determined to live out, bitterness, anger, slander, malice, brawling and rage. We are encouraging and edifying the adverse aspects of our nature instead of practicing kindness compassion and forgiveness. If we continue to behave and practice the self-destructive aspects of our nature, the only logical result is the demise of our society. We need to practice kindness, compassion, and forgiveness in every area of our lives. We must embody the example of Christ and live up to His example of forgiveness, compassion, and kindness.

Countless
Something to think about.
Countless
9 After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, 10 and crying out with a loud voice, "Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!"Revelations 7:9-10
In
my mind's eye, I try to imagine this scene. Being in a sea of humanity
simultaneously recognizing people from all over the world. Seeing individuals
not just lost faces in a countless mass. All in unison of spirit
worshiping God and the Christ. It says from every nation, tribe,
peoples, and languages. A cacophony of sound that will be understandable
to the Godhead. We will see for the first time the physical reality of
the fulfillment of God's love. We will see the harvest of the great
commission. It is mind-boggling and simultaneously exhilarating to know that we will see what God has seen since before the beginning of time.

This Day
Something to think about.
This Day
This is the day the Lord has made;
We will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalms 118:24
This day is not another day to complete the unfinished task of yesterday. This day is not the day to plan for the wonderful dreams of your heart. This is not the day to rejoice in the victories of your life. This is the day you get a new opportunity to experience the never-ending always fulfilling love of God. This is the day you get to know the wondrous, glory, mercy and presence of God. The reason to rejoice this day is because the Lord is God, He is alive and interested in you.

Cry Out
Have you been there? When life seems to be hopeless when everything is aligned against you when death seems to be the only relief. Have you done like me froze, panicked, grasped at straws and made terrible decisions? Or have you done like David and cried out to the Lord with the confidence and the assured knowledge that God will hear your cry.

Fear The Lord
Something to think about.
Fear The Lord
7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil. 8 It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your bones. Proverbs 3:7-8
If you give God the honor, respect, and reverence, He is entitled to, and you separate yourself from evil, you will bless yourself. This is not something that God needs to do for us. It is something we can for ourselves. Do not over complicate it. Allow God His rightful place in your life, and you will be blessed. If God is in His rightful place, evil will not be a part of your life. God and evil cannot coexist.

Receive
Something to think about
Receive
Very truly I tell you, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. 24 Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete. John 16:24
Asking has never been a problem, every one of us knows how to ask. Do we know how to receive? This verse tells us to ask so that we may receive. Everything that is given to us requires an action on our part; we need to stop and accept what is given to us. In my life now, I know I need to stop asking and start receiving what God has already given me. I need to stop asking for more when I have not received, accepted, appreciated or engaged what God has already given me.

Eternal Life?
Something to think about.
Eternal Life?
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
Have you stopped and pondered this first? This verse is the reason I became a Christian. Eternal Life that is what we are promised have you ever thought about eternal life? I definitely would not like to live eternally under the rules of the world's societies. I would not like to live, and eternal lie where the most I can hope for is more of the same. I don't want to live forever having to fight the never ending battles of this life. I don't have it within me to struggle for that long I would prefer to die and cease the struggle. However, I look forward to the eternal life God has planned for me. A life lived in His perfect peace, His joy, and His provision. I want to live forever but only if I live with God.

Release the Chains
Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. 32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. Ephesians 4 31-32
Have you ever notice, the negative aspects described in this verse are all-consuming. When you engage in these actions, they consume your life. For the period of time, you are in the throes of these actions they possess you. When you are kind, compassionate and forgiving, you arrive at a place of freedom and peace. Isn't freedom and peace better than possession and bondage? Let God help you with it, you will be happier.

Sharper Than Any Two-Edged Sword
Something to think about.
Sharper Than Any Two-Edged Sword
12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
The word of God was alive and powerful thousands of years ago and it is just as alive today as when it was written. It is still piercing the soul of man it is still discerning the thoughts of man. Why is the Bible still as vibrant as it was when it was written? Because man, at his core, has not changed we are still sinners in need of a savior. We are still trying to find what it is our hearts yearn for, and we are still looking in the wrong place. If you turn to Jesus Christ, you will find what you are looking for, you will find home.

Before the Ages
Something to think about.
Before the Ages
2 in hope of eternal life, which God, who never lies, promised before the ages began. Titus 1:2
We read this, do we pass over? Do we simply say that's nice and move on. Stop! Look this is the quintessential promise of God before anything existed it was Gods intent that we should spend eternity with Him.
This thought that God intended that you should spend eternity with Him, is sufficient to keep your mind in awe for several days.

A Different Life
Something to think about.
A Different Life
4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” Revelations 21:4
No more tears, no more death, no sorrow, no crying, no pain, for life as we know it will cease. This is the promised hope of Christianity. You really have to sit back and contemplate on what this verse says to fully appreciate what's in store for us in the future. I have not seen, heard or have been offered a better life. Humanity has not come up with a better offer. The life God promises is what we are seeking a life of peace, joy, love and happiness.

In Him
Something to think about.
In Him
16 For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. 17 And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. Colossians 1 16-17
Christ is why and how we are here. He is the reason anything exists. He is also how it all works. Without Him, the heavens, planets, stars, air, life, and spirit would not exist. If He did not exist, we would not exist. We live in His creation, outside of His creation, nothing at all exists.

Abide
Something to think about.
Abided
7 If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples.
This
is not a verse about you receiving everything and anything you want in
your life. Rather is about you receiving everything that glorifies God
in your life. The prerequisite is that you be in Christ before you even
ask. The result is that you bear fruit or lead people to Christ, and by
doing so you prove that you are a disciple of Christ. "Ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you," is limited to those things that will help you to accomplish verse eight. In the end, these verses are about us being empowered to glorify God, and to exemplify Christ and to identify ourselves as His disciples.

Walk in Him
Something to think about.
Walk in Him
6 Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, 7 rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.
8 See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ. Colossians 2:6-8
For centuries, societies, governments, and rulers have tried to pollute, distort, abuse and supplant the gospel of Christ. Today there are people in and out of Christianity that are in the process of devaluating, and demeaning Christianity. They have attempted to redefine some of the basic tenets of Christianity to justify their sin, they have called evil good. But as is often the case the word of God is ahead of humanity warning us not to fall prey to these insidious delusions. God word is as God himself it will not bend, change or be subjugated by humanity. God's word will never change nor his precepts usurped.
