One Day

Something to think about.

One Day

Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked. Psalm 84:10

Somewhere along the life of Christianity, we've allowed the devil to upstage this reality. I have lived the life the devil has to offer I have received the best he has, I know the lies he has perpetrated against us. It is better to enter into the kingdom God and be as far away from his presence as possible and still receive his glory. Than to be in the center of the devil's demise.  We've allowed the lies of the enemy to be sold as truth and accepted as desirable accomplishments.

Our country our world is in the shape, it is in because we have allowed the lies of the enemy to be sold as truths.  There isn't anything the enemy has sold us that compares to being in the presence of God.  All the world's accomplishments combined can not equate to being in the presence of God.  not even for an instant.

God's presence is where you are fulfilled to overflowing. It is where you will find love, peace, joy, happiness. It is where you will be filled with the water of life, and you'll never be thirsty again. Today, now these things are available to those who choose Christ. You can have a meaningful, purposeful and joyous life now. You can have the love, security and the companionship of God now, here today. You can have everything that makes life worth living. You can experience the presence of God.

Then when we are in His permanent presence when He dwells with man. There will be no more war, famine, hate, disease. No more lack, hurt, loss, exclusion, rejection, loneliness or empty promises. You will have security, peace, love, and acceptance. You will be washed and cleansed from the filth of sin.  You will be given a new perfect body. You will share in His glory.

We need to turn the tide of evil and let the world know, God has a better way, a better life. Instead of selling the world the lies of the devil we need to give them the truth of the joy of living the life of Christ. It is better to live life in the love of Christ than to live the life of lust and lost without Christ. We have a much better life to live here and now and into eternity, Far better than anything the devil has ever offer. If we show the world what it is like to live one day in His courts, we will revolutionize the world.

Such a Time as This.

Something to think about.

Such a Time as This.

14 For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” Esther 4:14

Often for fear or for want of peace and personal security, we remain silent. Most of us will never be, as Esther was, in the king's court or in a position of influence to effect national policy. However, God will someday ask you to stand for Him in the midst of an uncertain outcome. It may not be in a situation of national survival as in the story of Esther. But it will be in a situation that will cost you everything as it did with Esther.  Will you stand or will you fold and let the deliverance come from another. It is at this time that you will know who it is you love what it is you believe. It will most probably not be a physical threat as with Esther, but it will be a spiritual crisis of eternal significance. It will be your time it will be your moment it will determine your eternal destination.  Will you have the courage, the spiritual fortitude to stand alone for God, not knowing the outcome? Will you choose to remain in silent obscured security, or will you accept your call to stand in full unencumbered exposure for the purposes of God?  "For such a time as this."

Testimonies of Faith

Testimonies of Faith

Five years ago I had a major heart attack. I was in the hospital for six weeks and had serious complications. My kidneys failed, I had emergency surgery due to internal bleeding caused by a section of my bowls had become necrotic. My blood pressure all but disappeared.  About a week after I was released from the hospital I had another heart attack due to an artery completely clogging.  When they performed the bypass surgery, they were not able to bypass one artery because of where it was. The arteries in my heart are not normal, so a stent or angioplasty was not and option.

I wanted to share my experience with my family, however, do to the some of the side effects of the bypass I could not put two words together in a sentence in writing. It took two years before I could write coherently again. So I decided to start a blog for the sole purpose of sharing my experience with my family. I wanted them to know what happened as well as how God had brought me through.  To my surprise, other people started to following my blog.  It occurred to me that there probably were other people in the church that had a similar experience.  I started a writing group in the church to put these stories together, but it was not the right time. I could not get enough interest in the project. Our group did some other things, and members of our group did go on to publish books. But the testimony book was not done.

In May of this year, a new pastor took over the ministry which oversees our small group, and he suggested we write a book of testimonies.

Five years after my heart attack, the book is a reality.  The book is titled 'Testimonies of Faith." For those of you who attend Faith Assembly of God in Orlando Florida, the book will be available for sale this Sunday, Dec. 18, 2016. For everyone else, the book will be available on Amazon in the next few days. Since I am one of the authors and contributors of this book, I am very excited to see it in print. The testimonies in this book are stories that show how God is involved in the lives of your neighbors and friends. They are great moving stories that will encourage and inspire you in your faith or bring you to faith. All of the proceeds from the book will be donated to the youth ministry at Faith Assembly Of God in Orlando Florida.

Lord of All Nations

Something to think about.

Lord of All Nations

1 Praise the Lord, all nations!
Extol him, all peoples!
2 For great is his steadfast love toward us,
and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever.
Praise the Lord! Psalms 117:1-2

The psalmist instructs us to praise the God of all nation. He tells us that the Lords love is steadfast and His faithfulness endures forever.

We live in perilous times evil abounds in our homes, corporately and nationally.  Could this be a result of lack of praise? Will God acknowledge the prayers of people who will not acknowledge Him, that will not praise him? We have replaced the praise of God with the praise of man. We praise our athletes, actors, scholars, politicians and our pastors and we have reaped the consequences of such praise.  If we are to prosper as a family, nation, country or world, we need to turn to the God of creation and give Him the praise He deserves.

1 Praise the Lord, all nations!
Extol him, all peoples!

Deliverance

Something to think about.

Deliverance

Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen. Galatians 1:3-5

Christ died for us, and it is he that will deliver us from this present evil age. By the will of the everlasting Father. We need to be ever aware, that it is Jesus working in us that enables us to overcome any situation. He is the impetus, power and the way of deliverance and there is no other.

Deliverance

Something to think about.

Deliverance

13 And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Matthew 6:13 (ESV)

As evil explodes throughout the world, it is apparent to me that we need to ask God to fulfill this prayer now more than ever. God please delivers us from evil.
