8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Ephesians 2:8
This is as simple as it gets, salvation is a gift of God. You cannot earn it.
You are saved by God’s grace through the faith provided by God. We do
not supply the grace, we do not provide the faith we cannot save
ourselves. It is a gift from God. He has already done it all on our
behalf.
