Confidence

Something to think about.

Confidence

“Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” Hebrews 4:16 (NIV)

I have this privilege and confident assurance of knowing if I seek Him I will find Him, and He will help me. My hope and confidence lead me to ask what do societies turn to? The reason we fail personally and corporately is that we do not approach God we do not seek Him we don't receive grace and mercy. We are all the same we need help. Turn to God, seek Him find him get to know Him and obtain His grace and mercy.

Goodness and Mercy

Something to think about.

Goodness and Mercy

“Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.”
Psalms 118:1 NKJV

I don't want to take this for granted. For God is the creator of the universe and if He were to require repayment from me for my sins, I would be sorely inadequate to pay.  If I tried to earn salvation, an eternity of good works would not suffice. It is only through His goodness and His redemptive plan that I can attain forgiveness and restoration.  It is through His mercy that we even have a chance of redemption. Remember He did not have to have mercy on us. However, In His goodness He has.

A Reminder of Love.

Something to think about

A Reminder of Love.

22 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
his mercies never come to an end;
23 they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.

Just wanted to remind you, God loves you.

Seek the Lord

Something to think about.

 Seek the Lord

“Seek the LORD while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the LORD, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.” Isaiah 55:6-7 NKJV

 God is calling to you. He is doing all He can short of taking away your free will. For you to turn from your wicked ways and be saved. The principal part of these verses is "while He may be found". If you turn from your wicked ways and repent, God will be gracious in mercy and forgive you.

There will come a time in your life when God will stop calling, wooing you. His call for you to repent is not life long. There is a moment when God will leave you to your own devices, leave you to your own righteousness. Then when your time comes to stand before God, you will only have your righteousness to justify yourself before a perfect God. He will judge you by His perfect standard, do you really want to do that?

This Day

Something to think about.

This Day

This is the day the Lord has made;
We will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalms 118:24

This day is not another day to complete the unfinished task of yesterday.  This day is not the day to plan for the wonderful dreams of your heart.  This is not the day to rejoice in the victories of your life. This is the day you get a new opportunity to experience the never-ending always fulfilling love of God. This is the day you get to know the wondrous, glory, mercy and presence of God. The reason to rejoice this day is because the Lord is God, He is alive and interested in you.

New Every Morning

Something to think about.

New Every Morning

22 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
   his mercies never come to an end;
23 they are new every morning;
   great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23 (ESV)

I am grateful that the mercy of God towards me did not cease yesterday.  Every day His love grants me all the mercy I need for this day. Thank you God for your mercy.

Patience

Something to think about.

Patience

The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. 2 Peter 3:9 (ESV)

It is not that God is slow in coming or has forgotten or lost interest in His creation. Rather, it is that He desires that no one should be lost. He wants to give everyone the opportunity to repent and be saved. He is patient because He is kind merciful and loving.
